ABOUT THE SERIES

The Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle takes place on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival and serves as the final for the 21 long-distance qualifying races that are run throughout the jumps season.

Raced over 3 miles and for horses 5 years and over. Starting in 2025, winners of those qualifiers are now guaranteed a place in this race, as long as they are within the required weight range come the festival.

The race has been something of a stepping stone for younger horses who go on to greater achievements over fences. In recent years the likes of Presenting Percy and Delta Work and Sire Du Berlais have won the race en route to excellent novice chase campaigns the following season. The series sees races across the UK, Ireland and France.
