Join us for the Grand National Trial Day, an action-packed day of racing as potential candidates for Aintree lay their Randox Grand National credentials on the line.

Haydock Park can boast one of the very few recognised Grand National Trials on offer each year and this race offers up a stern test of stamina, something which the hugely progressive Lord Du Mesnil relished when winning for Richard Hobson in 2021.

Haydock Park can boast one of the very few recognised Grand National Trials held each year, a race that winners take in stride.

Over the years, it has produced some remarkable champions, including Lord Du Mesnil (2021), who impressed with his staying power for trainer Richard Hobson. Past winners such as Red Rum, Cool Ground, and Master Oats went on to shine at the Cheltenham Festival and Aintree, cementing the Trial’s reputation as a proving ground for future stars of National Hunt racing
